A computer programmer is someone who writes code for computer software. In order to achieve this, individuals who fill this role must have an analytical mind and an excellent understanding of algorithms.  Since PC’s cannot work without software, it is the responsibility of the Computer Programming Specialist to create software that allows a computer to do what is desired of it. Although their primary responsibility is writing code, Computer Programmers also write programmes in a variety of different languages, debug systems, update existing programmes and design system interfaces.

Entry Requirements

Successfully completed Matric or equivalent(NQF Level 4) and have the ability to use computers
